Fellows and girls, groups are a swell way to host a
huge office pool or a small family grudge that needs to be settled
with a game of chance. You'll look like a useful, productive human being because you're the host, while jasonzahn.com does all of the work!
Use the handy form below to refer people - family, coworkers, friends, Romans or countrymen. Whomever. Whatever.
You may send to as many people as you'd like, but please separate different email addresses WITH A COMMA (,) or your message will not go through!
The 2007 jasonzahn.com Football Survivor Challenge is off and running. Deadline for entry is Saturday, September 8th, 11:59PM Central!
The season officially begins that Thursday Night, but we're ignoring that game and those teams from your week one picks.
If you have
not entered before that Saturday, you will NOT be able to play in the
event at all this season.
The rules are simple, but a detailed, lengthy description from a special guest follows - or just go ahead and log in above and get started.
One thing I hate more than kittens and children is writing, so I'll try to make this quick.
WEEKLY PLAY 1) Every week you will pick one NFL team to win their game, you may
select any team you'd like but YOU MAY NOT PICK THE SAME WINNER
TWICE. If you pick the Green Bay Packers to win week 1, then you
won't be able to pick them again for the rest of the season.
2) Every week you will pick one NFL team to lose their game. Again,
you may select any team you'd like but YOU MAY NOT PICK THE SAME
LOSER TWICE. And now you're asking - Curly, I picked the Green
Bay Packers to win last week - can I pick them to lose this week?
The answer is yes, but only if you haven't already picked
the Packers to lose this season. And beyond that, why are you picking the Packers to lose, numbskull?
Essentially, these are two separate pools. SO:
3) If your winner loses this week, you're elminated from the winners
competition.
4) If your loser wins this week, you're eliminated from the losers
competition.
5) Even if you are eliminated from one pool, you may still continue
to play in the other. You're completely eliminated when you've been
eliminated from BOTH pools.
6) The jasonzahn.com Hall of Fame welcomes the contestant remaining in BOTH pools the longest and the contestants remaining in the INDIVIDUAL pools the longest. All three of these people may be the same person.
TIEBREAKERS
Ties will be broken by two questions
answered before the start of the season - which team will remain
undefeated the longest this season and which team will have
the worst record this season.
If one tied participant has correctly guessed one of the questions
and no one else has, that participant is the winner. If one
tied participant has correctly guessed two questions correctly
and no one else has, that contestant is the winner.
If the tied participants have the same number of correct answers
(0 or 1), the winner will be determined like this: take the
number of weeks their selected team remained undefeated and
subtract from that the number of teams who had equally bad or worse records
than their selected worse team. Whoever has the highest result
wins.
